LEOMINSTER - Carol Ann "Tootsie" (Brodin) Mazzaferro, 64, of Leominster, died Friday July 9, at her summer home in West Yarmouth.
Washington Capitals Mrs. Mazzaferro was born in Worcester, on Nov. 8, 1945, the daughter of Maurice and Edna (Sullivan) Brodin. She leaves three children, Jerica A. Mazzaferro of Cambridge, Joseph D. Mazzaferro Jr., and Matthew M. Mazzaferro, her daughter-in-law, Caron, and her four grandchildren, Julia, Nicholas, Jason, and Amanda, all of Leominster; her ex-husband, Joseph D. Mazzaferro, of Sterling, who remained a loyal and devoted friend; two brothers, Maurice T. Brodin and James Brodin; her sister, NancyBrodin, and several nieces and nephews.
watches-0-9 She graduated from Shrewsbury High School and the John Robert Powers School of Boston, where she pursued her love of fashion. She worked as a waitress and as a sales representative for the Hart Modeling Agency. A trendspotter, she traveled to Europe, Egypt, and frequently to the American West, where she honed her sensibility and style. She read voraciously until 1991, when a brain aneurysm resulted in anaphasia that robbed her of that pleasure. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 14, from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 Nike AF1 Shoes West St., Leominster, with a mass in St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Carol Ann Mazzaferro Scholarship Fund, c/o the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 WestSt., Leominster, MA 01453.
